The Bad Jones

The Bad Jones are a rock band from the Bay Area known formerly as the notorious Soul Pie. Upon changing their name, the band has reemerged with a new attitude and sound in efforts to focus their strengths as songwriters–and more importantly to shed a fresh and reverent light on what they see as the currently dormant state of rock and roll.  Lead by lead singer Jesse Ray and guitarist Tommy Odetto, this longtime songwriting duo have combined forces with hometown compatriots John Varn on keys and Tim Baker on Bass.  Together, they aim to help set the stage for the coming resurgence of rock.

Recently, the gorup has shared the stage with rock and roll royalty ranging from Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Eddie Money to Living Colour and New Monsoon.  The group also a weekly residency known as ‘Off The Record’ at John Lee Hooker’s widely acclaimed Boom Boom Room in San Francisco.  Each week, the band is joined for a slice of musical hstory by natoinal and area music legends.
