Emily Wolfe
http://www.emilywolfemusic.comEmily Wolfe is an Austin-based dream rock singer/songwriter/guitarist.
In less than a year, Wolfe has been named one of the Sundance Channel Artists to Watch for 2013, played sold-out shows in New York City and Austin, TX, and shared stages with the likes of Allen Stone, Robert Ellis, Bob Schneider, Wild Child, and The Boxer Rebellion. Wolfe has been adored by press ranging from national music tastemakers like NPR Music, MTV Buzzworthy, PASTE, Brooklyn Vegan, American Songwriter, CULTURE COLLiDE, The Music Ninja and The Deli Magazine; top local press including The Austin Chronicle, Austin Monthly and Austin CultureMap; and also top indie radio stations including both KUTX and 101X in Austin, and WXPN in Philadelphia.
After releasing two stirring EPs in 2013 – “Mechanical Hands” and “Night & Day” -Wolfe showcased her ability to slip from delicate folk and slide effortlessly into a more aggro atmosphere with her newest EP release, “Roulette,” released on October 7th, 2014. Produced by Mike McCarthy (Spoon, Patty Griffin, Dead Confederate), the 5-song EP takes listeners on a journey through Wolfe’s haunting vocals, roaring lead guitar, fuzzy bass lines and driving drum beats. Her recent performances at Austin City Limits and the 2014 CMJ Music Marathon paired with her first round acceptance to SXSW 2015 have critics and fans alike eagerly keeping an eye on this artist-to-watch.
